One of the most unfortunate and widespread misconceptions amongst mainstream Muslims is the belief that their scriptures have been “perfectly” preserved. A claim that has been repeated for generations, yet does not hold up under scrutiny. This article builds on our previous piece, “Holes in the Quran: Textual Variants and Lost Verses,” and continues to uncover the documented issues surrounding the textual history of the Quran.
